Users do not own articles or files on the OSRS Wiki.

Contributing to the wiki is a collaborative effort! When you create a page or upload a file, other users are free to modify the content and improve it in good faith. As such, users shouldn't revert, edit, or sign articles or files in an attempt to express ownership. Each page and file maintains a history of users who have edited it (accessible through the "history" tab at the top of the page), where every contributor is listed automatically.

Each user has their own user page which they can modify as they see fit. Generally, you should avoid editing other people's user pages except for maintenance reasons (such as fixing invalid links).

Files

You may take credit for an image created outside of the game, provided that it is appropriate for the wiki. To do so, use {{Personal copyright}}. Editors can still modify your image under the terms of our Creative Commons license, but you retain the original copyright.
