Flax field
This content is summarised far more succinctly in the item sources part of the Flax page with the maplinks, and additional information about banks & spinning wheels can be transplanted to the Flax page. I think the fact the Flax field page is also somewhat outdated & lacks newer flax fields such as Prifddinas is a testament to how this page is ignored by most people in favour of the Flax page.

- While I appreciate the bold action in proceeding with the merge, I think having a discussion about this would be beneficial, considering it's not a typical merger between pages. The matter if, and if yes then how these pages would be merged, makes this a useful conversation to at least give some space before closing it. Joeytje50 talk

Comment - are there any references in game to Flax field? I'm sort of leaning towards the merge as it makes more sense to discuss the fields under how to obtain. However, if there are in-game references i think it would make sense to have the pages separate. Shoyrukon (talk) 15:30, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
Comment - I can't seem to find any references to Flax fields in-game - I spoke to the Crafting tutor and the Flax keeper but neither seem to have any dialogue pertaining to flax fields. The closest reference is the world map labelling the area near Seers' Village as "Flax". I'll see if I can find any references elsewhere, but off the top of my head I cannot recall any references to Flax fields. --Slimelia (talk) 15:56, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
Question - So based on the fact there doesn't seem to be any mention of the flax field in-game, how does it sound to instead convert this page to an article about the Flax object? It has some unique mechanics that differ from most pickable crops (considering you can pick multiple from one piece of flax), so it would probably be interesting to document. Considering the flax field page currently already lists most or all locations for this object, it would make sense to just convert the page to that, instead. Such a page could then also include most of the relevant information about the locations it's found in, like the page currently features. Joeytje50 talk 18:17, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
Oppose - I'm more inclined to say this should be used similarly to Seers' Village Courthouse as a single location page. The Flax keeper explicitly says, "I tend to the flax fields, keeping the yield and continued flax harvest healthy." here: https://chisel.weirdgloop.org/dialogue/content/9812
While there other large groupings of flax around the world, I don't think others have an NPC tending to them or referncing 'flax field'. If they I think my point still stands to a point that while its sort of repetitious, its more a location specific than an item.
My suggestion woud be to trim the page down to just the seers' village and be done.User:Fjara/Signature 00:24, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
Delete - Apart from one reference of a field in dialogue, there aren't any other ways to justify what exactly a "flax field" is. Since the coverage is more complete on the flax page, I would rather just delete Flax field as a whole, it's redundant and didn't provide much, if any, information that isn't already covered. --User:Legaia2Pla/Signature 14:43, 5 June 2021 (UTC)
- Justifying what a flax field is requires only looking at the words of itself, disregarding the dialogue mentioning it. From the Cambridge Dictionary: "an area of land, used for growing crops or keeping animals, usually surrounded by a fence:", source. I'd say that mighty well fits only this location. The only other location that counters this is in Hosidius, where there is no "important things" in it, however, I'd say if we really want to push that we rename Flax field to Seers' Village flax field, or something similar. Comment I guess the confusion stems from the distinction between The flax field, which is the one in Seers' Village, noted by the name Flax on the world map and a flax field, which is just any collection of flax plants found all over the world. Exaldin (talk) 16:43, 5 June 2021 (UTC)
