Standard dialogue

  • You look ready for combat.
    • Player: Well met, fellow adventurer.
    • Andros Mai: Adventurer? I am no mere Adventurer, I am Andros Mai, brother of the Holy Order of Saradomin. You would do well to greet me with respect.
    • Player: Andros Mai? Sorry, but I can't say I've heard of you I'm afraid.
    • Andros Mai: I wouldn't have expected someone of your... stature to know of me.
    • Andros Mai: Tell me, what do you know of the vile Vet'ion?
    • With no Vet'ion kills:
      • Player: Nothing, but I have a feeling you're about to fill me in.
      • (Continues below)
    • With at least one Vet'ion kill:
      • Player: We've crossed swords in the past, I can't say I'm too keen to do it again though.
      • Andros Mai: You challenged him and came out unscathed? Impossible.
      • Player: I'm stronger than I look.
      • Player: But why do you ask? What do you want with Vet'ion?
      • (Continues below)
    • Andros Mai: Vet'ion was a devout follower of the heretical god Zamorak. It is the will of my order and my duty as a follower of the true god Saradomin to end his tyranny.
    • Andros Mai: After many years in my order's libraries, I stumbled upon an old tome which mentioned Vet'ion's final resting place, which I believe to be his source of power.
    • Andros Mai: His very existence is an insult to my lord Saradomin and I will not suffer it to exist any longer.
    • Player: Then why are you waiting here? Seems to me that you don't want to face Vet'ion.
    • Andros Mai: I have no fear of Vet'ion!
    • Andros Mai: I am merely meditating and preparing for the battle. I need to focus my mind before going out to find his resting place.
    • Player: It's okay, sometimes I pretend to be busy when there's something I don't want to do, too.
    • Andros Mai: This conversation is over! Leave me before I lose my temper.
    • (End of dialogue)
  • (If the player has Viggora's chainmace or the Claws of Callisto:) Ask about rare item.
    • With only Viggora's chainmace in the inventory:
      • Player: Hey. Do you know anything about this?
      • You show the chainmace to Andros Mai.
      • Andros Mai: By Saradomin! That's a Zamorakian made chainmace you have there!
      • Player: And? Do you know anything about it?
      • Andros Mai: I know melee weapons in general. Well enough to know most of them can be upgraded.
      • Andros Mai: Perhaps with something sharp to give it more impact as it swings around.
      • Player: Interesting! I'll be on the lookout for a powerful enhancement like that.
      • (End of dialogue)
    • With only the Claws of Callisto in the inventory:
      • Player: Hey. Do you know anything about this?
      • You show the claws to Andros Mai.
      • Andros Mai: They look like powerful claws. You could probably attach them to a weapon to make the weapon stronger.
      • Player: Interesting! I'll be on the lookout for that.
      • (End of dialogue)
    • With both in the inventory:
      • Player: Hey. Do you know anything about this?
      • You show the chainmace to Andros Mai.
      • Andros Mai: By Saradomin! That's a Zamorakian made chainmace you have there!
      • Player: And? Do you know anything about it?
      • Andros Mai: I know melee weapons in general. Well enough to know most of them can be upgraded.
      • Andros Mai: Perhaps with something sharp to give it more impact as it swings around.
      • Player: Perhaps I could use this?
      • You show the Claws of callisto to Andros Mai.
      • Andros Mai: Yes. Those look like they could be attached to the weapon.
      • Player: Could you combine them?
      • Andros Mai: While I could, I'd really not like to.
      • Player: Surely you could consider it... For the right price?
      • Andros Mai: ...
      • Andros Mai: Money has been tight lately...
      • Andros Mai: And my supplies are running low...
      • Andros Mai: Fine. But I want 500,000 coins for that. No less.
      • Pay 500,000 coins to combine the claws and chainmace?
      • Yes
        • If the player does not have enough coins:
          • Player: I don't have the money for that.
          • Andros Mai: Feel free to come back when you do.
          • (End of dialogue)
        • If the player has enough coins:
          • Andros Mai combines the items and gives you the Ursine chainmace (u).
          • Andros Mai: There we go! All done.
          • (End of dialogue)
      • No
        • Player: No thanks.
        • (End of dialogue)

Using items on him

Fangs of venenatis

  • Player: Hey. Do you know anything about this?
  • You show the fangs to Andros Mai.
  • Andros Mai: No. I'm afraid not. They just look like fangs.
  • Player: Fangs indeed. Rather useless it seems.
  • Andros Mai: Perhaps not. I've seen that Derse Venator guy over there handle similar items. Perhaps he knows more.
  • Player: Thanks!
  • (End of dialogue)

Skull of vet'ion

  • Player: Hey. Do you know anything about this?
  • You show the skull to Andros Mai.
  • Andros Mai: That's him! The vile Vet'Ion. I should like to smash this skull!
  • Player: Wait! It seems to still contain some magic. Surely we can use it?
  • Andros Mai: The only thing his skull would be useful for is Zamorakian heresy. I won't stand for it!
  • Player: Is there really nothing you can do to help me with this?
  • Andros Mai: Do you see Phabelle over there? Despite her questionable morals, she's my friend.
  • Andros Mai: She's good with magic and may know how to take advantage of the powers in that skull.
  • Player: Thanks!
  • (End of dialogue)

Voidwaker part

  • Player: Hey. Do you know anything about this?
  • You show the weapon piece to Andros Mai.
  • Andros Mai: No, I'm afraid not.
  • Player: Oh. Do you know someone who might know more?
  • Andros Mai: Downstairs you can find Madam Sikaro. Though she's on the wrong path, perhaps she could assist you.
  • Player: Thanks!
  • (End of dialogue)
