Initial dialogue

  • Player: You're not Osman. Who are you?
  • Selim: My name is Selim. Osman is currently on a diplomatic visit. I expect to be filling in for him for the forseeable future.
  • Player: Okay... But where is he really?
  • Selim: I have told you all that I can.
  • Player: But who should I take my sq'irk juice to now?
  • Selim: I am partial to that juice myself. I will happily take any off your hands.
  • Selim: Now, do you need something?
  • I'd like to talk about sq'irks.
    • (Same as below)
  • Could you sell me another Keris?
    • (Same as below)
  • I'm good, thanks.
    • (Same as below)

Subsequent dialogue

  • Selim: Do you need something?
  • Is there anything I can help you with?
    • Selim: Like my master, I am partial to juice from the sq'irk fruit. I would appreciate it if you could bring me some.
    • Where do I get sq'irks?
      • (Same as below)
    • How should I squeeze the fruit?
      • (Same as below)
    • Is there a reward for getting these sq'irks?
      • (Same as below)
    • What's so good about sq'irk juice?
      • (Same as below)
    • I should go.
      • (Same as below)
  • I'd like to talk about sq'irks.
    • Player: I'd like to talk about sq'irks.
    • If the player has sq'irkjuice in their inventory
      • Player: I have some sq'irk juice for you.
      • Selim imparts some Thieving advice to you as a reward for the sq'irk juice. You gain [number] Thieving XP as a result.
      • Selim: Thank you very much. If you get some more sq'irks be sure to come back.
      • Player: I will. It's been a pleasure doing business with you.
      • (End of dialogue)
    • If the player has no sq'irkjuice in their inventory
      • Selim: Of course. What would you like to know?
      • Where do I get sq'irks?
        • Player: Where do I get sq'irks?
        • Selim: There is a sorceress near the south eastern edge of Al Kharid who grows them. She used to be friends with Osman, but they fell out.
        • Player: What happened?
        • Selim: I don't know. All I know is she won't give us any more fruit.
        • Player: So all I have to do is ask her for some fruit for you?
        • Selim: I doubt it will be that easy. She is not renowned for her generosity and is very secretive about her garden's location.
        • Player: Oh come on, it should be easy enough to find.
        • Selim: Her garden has remained hidden even from Osman. I believe it must be hidden by magical means.
        • Player: I see. And why can't you do this yourself?
        • Selim: My work requires that I remain here.
        • Player: Okay. This should be an interesting task.
        • (Shows other options)
      • How should I squeeze the fruit?
        • Player: How should I squeeze the fruit?

      • Is there a reward for getting these sq'irks?
        • Player: Is there a reward for getting these sq'irks?
        • Selim: Of course. I'll train you in the art of Thieving for your troubles.
        • Player: How much training will you give?
        • Selim: That depends on the quantity and ripeness of the sq'irks you put into the juice.
        • Player: That sounds fair enough.
        • (Shows other options)
      • What's so good about sq'irk juice?
        • Player: What's so good about sq'irk juice?
        • Selim: It is a sweet nectar for a thief or spy. It makes light fingers lighter, fleet feet flightier and comes in four different colours for those who are easily amused.
        • Selim starts salivating at the thought of sq'irk juice.
        • Player: It wouldn't have addictive properties, would it?
        • Selim: It only holds power over those with poor self-control. Something which I have an abundance of.
        • Player: I see.
        • (Shows other options)

      • Selim: That will be 20,000 coins.
      • I'll take one.
        • Player: I'll take one.
        • If the player doesn't have enough coins:
          • Player: Actually, I don't seem to have enough money on me.
