Before starting the game
- Santa's scribe: Hello [player name]!
- Player: Hello.
- Santa's scribe: So, you want to be on the Nice List huh?
- Player: If that's what it takes to get into that pub, absolutely.
- Santa's scribe: That's the spirit.
- Santa's scribe: So let me tell you about the first game.
- The aim of the game is to is to pick up coal to give to other players. But don't carry too much. If you have more than 100 pieces of coal in your bag you will be eliminated!
- Santa's scribe: There are other non-player ch... I mean competitors in here, who will also be trying to offload their coal.
- Santa's scribe: Simply pick up the coal and hand it out to your opponents to eliminate them.
- Santa's scribe: The large piles contain 40 pieces of coal. The small piles contain 20 pieces of coal.
- Santa's scribe: Be careful not to carry too much or you might get caught out and eliminated.
- Santa's scribe: Are you ready to start the first game?

- Santa's scribe: Fair enough, I'll be waiting!

- Santa's Scribe: Congrats on winning the game! You've done a smashing job!
- Santa's Scribe: Come and speak to me when you're ready to advance to the next game.
After winning the first game
- Santa's scribe: A riddle.
- Santa's scribe: Their body is round, with a carrot for a nose. They love to be cold, from their head to their toes.

- Player: So what's your story? How did you end up here?
- Santa's scribe: Well, before all this I was a Judge in a very prestigious court.
- Player: That's very fitting.
- Santa's scribe: Indeed.
- Santa's scribe: I loved all the opportunities to help people in Gielinor.
- Santa's scribe: Alas, that was a long time ago. I've since passed away.
- Player: Wait, you're dead?
- Santa's scribe: Oh we all are here! Santa gave us the opportunity to stay here in this sanctuary.
- Player: But you don't look particularly ghostly, or zombie-like?
- Santa's scribe: That's just the thing, while we are in here we can keep our mortal body with Santa's magic.
- Player: Amazing, but also kind of scary at the same time.
- Santa's scribe: Where did you think the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future go?
- Santa's scribe: To the pub of course!
