Barrows Novice is an easy combat achievement which requires the player to open the Barrows chest 10 times.

Completion of the quest Priest in Peril is required to complete this task, as this quest is required to enter Morytania.

Strategy

This combat achievement can be finished quickly by running through the barrows and finding out which sarcophagus enters into the tunnel, disregarding any brother that appears. This method yields around 30-50 chest openings per hour. Note that almost no loot will be received using this method. It is the fastest way to get killcount, however. With the Strange old lockpick, players can ignore the random path and head straight into the middle room, making trips faster at the cost of a charge when passing through a locked door.
