Whack-a-Mole is a hard combat achievement which requires the player to kill the Giant Mole within 10 seconds of her resurfacing.

Strategy

The best way is to use the special attack of a crystal halberd or dragon claws. This will not only give the player the chance to kill the mole after the recent unburrow, but the mole will often burrow without the damaging registering until it digs back up again, subsequently fulfilling the combat achievement.

If access to those weapons is not a possibility, a dragon dagger (p++) can also work through the poison or the special attack. This may require slightly better timing as there is less damage with its special attack.
