A gnome child icon can be built in the icon space of the chapel in a player-owned house, aligning the player's chapel toward the gnome child. It requires 45 Construction to build and when built, it gives 100 Construction experience. The player must have a hammer and a saw in their inventory to build it.

Unlike other icons, the icon can be read, which displays a poem:
