Money making guide/Exchanging mole parts
Merge - Misleading GP/hr.
From the article: Please note that mole claws and mole skins have a relatively low buying limit (50 for each). It will take roughly 10 days to buy 6000 mole parts.
Unless you are using alts to circumvent the buy limit, you can only earn this ~5m GP every 10 days. Therefore, I believe this page should be moved to the "recurring method" section, or perhaps a section of its own (where we could potentially put divine potions as well).

Keep - From my quick checking, there's around 20 other money making guides on the main table that are restricted by buy limits (including every single blast furnace mmg). I don't think we should take buy limits or the time it takes to buy materials into account for mmgs at all, the time it takes to buy the materials isn't part of the method. I am also completely opposed to grouping these with the divine potion mmgs, they share no similarities. User:Crow/Signature 21:49, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
Keep — I don't see how this is any different than a method that involves buying products over a period of time. Certainly the user can't do it all at once, but they could place the buy offer a week out, and then after they have managed to purchase all the nests passively (zero-time), they can proceed with the method. I can agree that the actual GP/hr represented is not entirely accurate; this would not be the first instance of a money-making guide's GP/hr being misleading. That being said, I agree with @Crow: that this method does not compare to the divine combat pots MMG in any meaningful way. The guide itself is legitimate and should not be deleted. I still think a proper solution should be found to properly represent these edge-case MMG GP/hr. Owl (talk) 06:22, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
Merge - I suppose you are both right that this guide isn't similar to divine potions, so scratch that idea. And to elaborate, I don't actually want to delete the guide -- I made a request for deletion so that the page's problems can be discussed.
I disagree with Crow's reasoning, because most of the other mmgs he describes aren't nearly as affected by buy limits as this one is. He gives blast furnace mmgs as an example, but one buy limit will last at least ~1.5 hours for each method. For other buy limit restricted mmgs, leaving an offer in overnight will usually do. Having to wait 10 days to reach enough mole parts to do this mmg for an hour is WAY different. -- Mannana (talk) 16:33, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
- It's true that they're not as affected as this one, but that is the only difference, they're fundementally the exact same case. Every blast furnace mmg was also just the biggest example of why this logic of removing/recategorizing completely viable money makers based off time spent not doing the money maker is obviously bad. Like I said, I counted around 20 or so that are affected by buy limits. Most mmgs for making unfinished pots are slightly restricted, humidifying clay takes 2 buy limits to do 1 hour, growing magic saplings takes 8 buy limits to do 1 hour which is the "worst" I saw besides mole parts obv (interestingly, growing palm saplings is the only mmg I found where buy limit is taken into account, and as such it shows a misleadingly low profit, it should be nearly 3m/hr instead of 350k/hr). How would you even determine if something is an "unacceptable" level of restricted by buy limits, I don't think we should just imagine up an arbitrary rate of buy limits/1 hour of method and remove mmgs from the main table based off it. Is 2 buy limits too much? 4? 8? Time taken to buy the supplies to do the method has no impact on how you do the method or the gp/hr of the actual method so isn't taken into account, that seems like a completely reasonable assumption for readers to have. Merge - This is a recurring method similar to other methods on Money making guide/Recurring , with a profit of ~100k, a time of 1 minute, an effective profit of 6m, and a recurrence of 4 hours. It belongs on the recurring page. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wizzyhatg ([[User talk:{{#replace:Wizzyhatg|:|:}}|talk]]) on {{#replace:22:44, 20 December 2021| (UTC)}} (UTC).
Merge - if other MMGs suffer severely from this issue maybe they should be considered for recurring as well. Chen (talk) 23:50, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
Merge - Also, the profit is not correct as Spirit seeds can't be sold and therefore the 2.5m profit from the calculation should be removed completely —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 2a02:ed0:6f4a:df00:8904:ca77:e93e:1d43 ([[User talk:{{#replace:2a02:ed0:6f4a:df00:8904:ca77:e93e:1d43|:|:}}|talk]]) on {{#replace:07:08, 28 December 2021| (UTC)}} (UTC).
- While spirit seeds are not directly tradable, they can be exchanged for seed packs at the farming guild, so their listed profit is correct. --Mannana 21:36, 28 December 2021 (UTC)
Merge - agree with the above regarding recurring. Ozank (talk) 21:41, 28 December 2021 (UTC)
Closed - This money making guide shall be made a recurring method instead of a processing one. --User:Legaia 2 Pla/Signature 22:54, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
