Dogs

We have two disambiguation pages regarding dogs, Dogs and Dog (disambiguation). Most of the information is repeated on both pages, it's even bulleted and laid out in a similar manner.

I personally don't think we need two disambiguation pages for this, so I would suggest we merge them. I think it's inconsistent with other pages we have and doesn't warrant a secondary disambiguation page as the topic itself is not that big. From my knowledge most other monsters/races don't have two disambiguation pages.

Merge/Question - Would a Canine (race) or Dog (race) page ever be considered in place of these (the two mentioned pages above would redir there maybe?). There isn't a lot of information on the "race" of dogs so maybe just leaving dog disambig would be best. Giant (race) is a relatively small page. just throwing out ideas User:Fjara/Signature 14:56, 12 November 2021 (UTC)

The race page for giant is interesting. The category is Giants and the navbox doesn't even link to that page. However, the standalone Giant page is a disambig but then is also categorized as Races. Merge to Dogs - I think we can get rid of the (disambiguation) page for dogs and have it all on the Dogs page. The page can serve as both a list and further prose if deemed necessary. We can still use the disambig template as well. --User:Legaia2Pla/Signature 16:04, 18 November 2021 (UTC)

Closed - This will be merged onto the (disambigutation) page instead of the opposite proposed in the discussion. Plural forms of words as pages don't align with the typical page naming that is done, so the disambiguation page fits better for this situation. If we wish to have a race page for canine/dog, we should discuss how we should design said pages that have little information outside of real world application.
