Before Enlightened Journey
- Auguste: Greetings! Would you like to be my number one accomplice? I mean, assistant?
- Player: Who are you?
- Auguste: I am Auguste. I am going to be the first balloonist in all of Gielinor!
- Player: Balloo-what? I thought only monks lived on Entrana.
- Auguste: Well, they do... I was a monk. But I'm so sick of living on this island! I want to explore new frontiers!
- Player: And go where no man has gone before?
- Auguste: Maybe! That sounds good. I was thinking just over to Taverley, though.
- Player: Why not take the boat then?
- Auguste: Ugh! Ocean! Don't talk to me about the ocean...oh dear...I feel ill.
- Player: Whoa, ok, no ocean. How exactly are you going to get off the island, then?
- Auguste: I have devised a new way to travel. But I need an assistant balloonist to help me build my design.
- Auguste: Are you an experienced adventurer willing to help me?
- Start the Enlightened Journey quest?
- Yes.
- Player: Yes! Sign me up.
- Auguste: Wonderful! Let's get started.
- Player: Wait, I still don't know exactly what we're doing.
- Auguste: Of course, of course, how foolish of me. Well, we are going to make a balloon.
- Player: Which is what exactly?
- Auguste: Let me show you!
- (balloon construction diagram interface opens.)
- No.
- Player: I don't think so.
- Auguste: Oh, never mind then.
- (End of dialogue)
Enlightened Journey
Initial dialogue after Enlightened Journey
- Auguste: Hello, [player name]. It is good to see you again. My enterprise has grown since we last met. I've expanded all over Gielinor!
- Auguste: If you'd like to go to a new location, you will have to help fly the balloon again. Some of the routes are very dangerous!
- Auguste: But each route you complete will earn you Firemaking experience.
- Auguste: Once you've opened a route, it only costs 1 log of the corresponding type to travel there again, from any location you've already opened!
- Auguste: I have also hired assistants to watch over the balloons at each new location we go to. They will help you get where you want to go.
- Auguste: Do you want to use the balloon? Just so you know, some locations require special logs and high Firemaking skills.
- Select an Option
- Yes.
- (Balloon transport system interface opens.)
- No.
- Player: No.
- (End of dialogue)
- Could you tell me how to make an origami balloon?
- Player: Could you tell me how to make an origami balloon?
- Auguste: First, use the papyrus on the ball of wool. The papyrus is folded into an origami box and the yarn will support the heat source.
- Auguste: Next, add the unlit candle to the balloon structure. It will act as the heat source.
- Auguste: Now you have an origami balloon!
- Auguste: If you use your origami balloon with any dye, you can change the colour.
- Auguste: You can release the balloon and watch it float in the air, just use a tinderbox on it.
- (End of dialogue)
- (If the bomber jacket or cap has been lost) Could you replace some items for me?
- If the bomber cap has not been lost:
- Auguste: You still seem to have your cap.
- (Continues below)
- If the bomber cap has been lost but there is no free inventory space:
- Auguste: You don't have enough free space for your cap.
- (Continues below)
- If the bomber cap has been lost:
- Auguste: Here's your cap. Try to keep better track of it.

- Auguste: Here's your jacket, to keep you warm during flight.
- (Continues below)
- (If the player has a bomber cap and gnome goggles) Could you combine my cap and goggles?
- Auguste: There you go! You look like a true airship pilot now.
- (End of dialogue)
- If the player is wearing them:
- Auguste: I can't combine them if you are wearing them.
- (End of dialogue)
- If the player doesn't have space for the cap and goggles:
- Auguste: You don't have enough free space for the cap and goggles.
