- Nurmof: Greetings and welcome to my pickaxe shop. Do you want to buy my premium quality pickaxes?
- Yes, please.
- (Nurmof's Pickaxe Shop. interface opens)
- No, thank you.
- Player: No, thank you.
- (End of dialogue)
- Are your pickaxes better than other pickaxes, then?
- Player: Are your pickaxes better than other pickaxes, then?
- Nurmof: Of course they are! My pickaxes are made of higher grade metal than your ordinary bronze pickaxes, allowing you to mine that ore just a little bit faster than normal.

With a dragon pickaxe (broken) in inventory
- Player: Hi Nurmof, I found this earlier...
- Nurmof: Oh, a dragon pickaxe! And a broken one at that. I haven't seen one of those in a while.
- Player: Can you fix it for me? I was told you're the dwarf to see!
- Nurmof: I did indeed fix pickaxes in the past, many years ago. They were a lot more common back then.
- Nurmof: In fact, this is the first broken pickaxe I've seen in a very long time!
- Player: Why were there so many broken pickaxes back then?
- Nurmof: Ore rocks used to be quite unstable. They would randomly explode when you were mining them.
- Player: That sounds terrifying!
- Nurmof: It was. But then one day, the explosions just... stopped. As if someone flipped an off switch somewhere.
- Nurmof: I've not seen a broken pickaxe since then!
- Player: Will you still be able to fix mine for me?
- Nurmof: I should think so. I'll need to buy some new tools.
- Nurmof: They're quite expensive, but they will get the job done. The pickaxe will be as good as new when I've finished with it.
- Nurmof: The cost will be about...
- Nurmof: ...let me see. I need another one of these, and I can reuse that if I replace the drill bit from there...
- Nurmof: ...hmm, and this needs a full clean, oh and I don't have one of those anymore...
- Nurmof: ...okay! It'll cost about 2,500,000 GP, give or take a few coins. Would you like me to fix it for you?
- Pay Nurmof 2,500,000 GP to fix your dragon pickaxe?
- Yes, let's do it.
- Player: Yes, let's do it.
- Nurmof: Lovely! Okay, give me a moment. It may take a little while, it's a tough metal to work with.
- If the player has at least 2,500,000 gp in their inventory:
- Nurmof goes into a nearby hidden room, and from within, you hear the sound of a hammer striking metal.
- ..he did say it would take a little while.
- Nurmof hands you the repaired dragon pickaxe.
- Nurmof: There you go, good as new, just like I said!
- Player: Thank you very much. I'll take good care of it.
- (End of dialogue)
- If the player has less than 2,500,000 gp in their inventory:
- Player: Oh, I actually don't have enough coins on me! I'll come back with more.
- Nurmof: I'll be here!

- Nurmof: It is! But you can't cheap out on quality. If a job's worth doing, do it well.
- Nurmof: I'm also the only one who can repair pickaxes these days, so you don't really have much choice!

- Okay then, let's do it.
- Player: Okay then, let's do it.

- Player: I'll think about it.
- Nurmof: I'll be here!
