Before The Queen of Thieves
- Player: Hello.
- Tomas Lawry: Greetings. What can I do for you?
- What are you doing here?
- Player: What are you doing here?
- Tomas Lawry: I'm conducting important business here for the Kourend Council.
- Anything I can help with?
- Player: Is there anything I can help you with?
- Tomas Lawry: There is something I could use some help with. I'm here on behalf of the Kourend Council to investigate some unusual happenings in Port Piscarilius.
- Player: What are you investigating?
- Tomas Lawry: Port Piscarilius is home to various gangs. They're a nuisance, but up until now we haven't had much trouble in dealing with them.
- Player: So what's the problem?
- Tomas Lawry: A new gang calling themselves the Saviours of Kourend has recently formed. That's not surprising as gangs come and go all of the time, but this one is different.
- Player: How so?
- Tomas Lawry: The Saviours of Kourend have been absorbing many of the other gangs. Within a few weeks they've already become the largest gang in Kourend and more join them each day.
- Tomas Lawry: The talk amongst the people is that it's all down to their leader, a mysterious figure known only as the Queen of Thieves.
- Player: Nice name. Why doesn't the ruler of Port Piscarilius do something about this?
- Tomas Lawry: Shauna Piscarilius is the ruler of Port Piscarilius, but she spends most of her time galavanting around in that boat of hers rather than looking after her home.
- Player: Fair enough. So what do you need me for?
- Tomas Lawry: Well my original plan was to infiltrate the gang to get close to the Queen and capture her. However, I've been unable to make any progress. Apparently, I don't look the part.
- Player: Yeah not sure what that's all about. You clearly fit right in here.
- Tomas Lawry: Quite right. They're quite insistent though, so someone else will need to give it a go. You look like you might be just the type they're after.
- Player: What are you trying to say?
- Tomas Lawry: That you look poor.
- Player: Oh...
- Tomas Lawry: Anyway if you're up for the task you'll need to infiltrate the Saviours of Kourend, find the Queen of Thieves, apprehend her and then bring her to me.
- Tomas Lawry: So are you up for it?
- Absolutely.
- The Queen of Thieves has been started.
- Player: Absolutely.
- Tomas Lawry: Excellent. The Saviours of Kourend must have their headquarters somewhere nearby. You should ask around town and see if anyone knows where they are. Good luck.
- (End of dialogue)
- Nah.
- Player: Nah.
- Tomas Lawry: Fair enough. I'll be here if you change your mind.
- (End of dialogue)
- What's the Kourend Council?
- Player: What's the Kourend Council?
- Tomas Lawry: Although it's called a kingdom, Great Kourend hasn't actually had a king for many years. These days Kourend is a republic and it is ruled by the Kourend Council.
- Tomas Lawry: The Council consists of four councillors who are elected by the people every four years. The current councillors are Councillor Hughes, Councillor Unkar, Councillor Orson and Councillor Andrews.
- Player: I see. So what are you investigating?
- Tomas Lawry: Port Piscarilius is home to various gangs. They're a nuisance, but up until now we haven't had much trouble in dealing with them.
- Player: So what's the problem?
- (Same as above)
- I'm looking for a quest.
- Player: I'm looking for a quest.
- If the player does not have the requirements to start The Queen of Thieves:
- Tomas Lawry: Well there is something I could use some help with. However, you're not really the person I need for this task.
- (End of dialogue)

- Tomas Lawry: Very well. How goes things?
- Player: I haven't had any luck finding the Queen of Thieves. However, I've come across this letter which you might find interesting.
- (Player gives Letter (The Queen of Thieves).)
- Tomas reads the letter.
- Tomas Lawry: Blimey! Forget the Queen of Thieves. If this letter is to be believed, Councillor Hughes is working with those vile Disciples of Yama. I must report this to the council immediately.
- Great! So can I have a reward?
- Player: Great! So can I have a reward?
- Tomas Lawry: You've done a great service to the people of Kourend. As I'm sure you know, there is no greater reward than the satisfaction of a job well done.
- Player: Oh...
- Tomas Lawry: Now be on your way. I have a lot of work to do.
- (End of dialogue)
- What do you know of the Disciples of Yama?
- Player: What do you know of the Disciples of Yama?
- Tomas Lawry: They're a group of deranged cultists that worship some sort of demon. They're not a big threat compared to the lizardmen, but they're still an enemy to Kourend.
- Player: And Councillor Hughes is helping them? That's not good.
- Tomas Lawry: Indeed. I must report this to the Council immediately.
- Player: So can I have a reward?
- Tomas Lawry: You've done a great service to the people of Kourend. As I'm sure you know, there is no greater reward than the satisfaction of a job well done.

After The Queen of Thieves and before A Kingdom Divided
- Player: Hello Tomas. How's things?
- Tomas Lawry: Very well thank you. My work in bringing down Councillor Hughes means that I'm finally starting to get the recognition that I deserve.
- Player: But that was my work!
- Tomas Lawry: Yes, yes, very good job. I'll make sure to mention you in my acceptance speech when I'm voted in as her replacement.
- (End of dialogue)
After completing A Kingdom Divided
- Player: Hello Tomas.
- Tomas Lawry: Oh... Hello there.
- Player: Something wrong?
- Tomas Lawry: I'm ruined. Everything was perfect under the Council, but now I'm right back in the dirt again.
- Player: You were very close to the Council. You should be glad you got to keep your job at all.
- Tomas Lawry: But I didn't keep my job. Now I spend every day doing boring administrative work. It's a nightmare.
- Player: Come now Tomas, it can't be all bad. Show a little enthusiasm.
- Tomas Lawry: Eugh.
- (End of dialogue)
