Standard dialogue

  • It's a bit hot and dry round here for a gnome isn't it?
    • Player: It's a bit hot and dry round here for a gnome isn't it? I thought you gnomes liked your home comforts.
    • Wingstone: Certainly I miss home cooking, but gnomes are also fundamentally curious people. I'm here exploring the furthest reaches of the world for the King.
    • Player: Found anything interesting?
    • Wingstone: Sophanem is a curious place, if you can get into the blighted place. There are several pyramids round here as well. Fascinating architecture, I've heard stories that some of them contain treasure tombs and mummies.
    • Wingstone: Cats seem to have considerable importance round here, they certainly seem tied into their religion. The Gods round here seem very alien to me - I've never heard of them before.
    • Player: Thanks.
    • (End of dialogue)
  • (If the player has a Mint cake:) What does this mint cake do?
    • Player: What does this mint cake do?
    • Wingstone: Gnomish mint cake is a great source of energy for the gnome traveller. It will give you that extra bit of zip when you are running out of steam.
    • Player: Ooh, that might come in very handy. Do you have any spare?
    • Wingstone: I need all the mint cake I have, I'm afraid.
    • (End of dialogue)
  • (If the player has a Grand seed pod:) What does this seed pod do?
    • Player: What does this seed pod do?
    • Wingstone: Ah, the seed pod of the Grand Tree is a fascinating spirit artefact. It is a very useful thing, though one must treat it with respect, since the Grand Tree has a connection with all of its parts, however distant they
    • Wingstone: may be. How do you think the Spirit Trees work?
    • Wingstone: If you launch its seeds in a far flung location, you will be helping the tree survive, so the grand tree will help a gnome glider pilot find you, using the seed burst itself (which marks the sky) and a little magic, and bring you
    • Wingstone: back home as an act of gratitude. Budding farmers will also find their link with plants to be just a little bit better than before.
    • Wingstone: However, it takes time for a pilot to find you, and if you are in a real hurry, and I mean a real emergency, you can just squash the seed pod. The Grand Tree doesn't like this, but will pull you back
    • Wingstone: home straight away. Don't do this if you need to do anything with plants straight away, though - your fingers will be considerably less green for a while after using the seed pod this way, and the journey is not
    • Wingstone: very pleasant...
    • Player: Wow, that's very interesting. Thanks.
    • (End of dialogue)

  • Wingstone hands you a [light box/puzzlebox]!
  • (End of dialogue)

While holding the light or puzzle box

  • If the puzzle is not solved:
    • Wingstone: That doesn't look solved to me.
    • (End of dialogue)
  • If the puzzle is solved:
    • Wingstone: Well done [player name]. Here you go.
    • You've obtained a [new clue/casket]!
    • (End of dialogue)

Upon Delivery

  • You hand over your delivery of [a/some] [ordered gnome food item] to Wingstone.
  • Wingstone: This will hit the spot. Oh yes. Thanks.
  • If the reward is a mint cake:
    • Wingstone: Now that I have some proper food, I won't need this any more.
    • You are given some mintcake as a tip.
  • If the reward is grand seed pods:
    • Wingstone: Here, take these Grand Seed pods. Very useful in emergencies!
    • You are given some seed pods as a tip.
  • If the reward is a snake charm:
    • Wingstone: I was given this odd device, maybe you can do something with it.
    • You are given a snake flute as a tip.
  • If the reward is anything else:
    • Wingstone: You must have had to travel a long way to get this to me. Here's a little something extra as a tip.
    • You are given [a/some] [reward item(s)] as a tip.
  • (End of dialogue)
