Standard Dialogue

  • If the player accepts the event from the Dunce:
    • Mr. Mordaut: Ah, it's you [player name]. You've been slacking in your studies, so it's time for an exam.
    • Mr. Mordaut: There are two types of question. One type requires you to find the next object in a pattern.
    • Mr. Mordaut: In the second type I will present you with fifteen cards and a hint. Discover three cards related to the hint, select them and confirm.

  • If the player logs out or hops worlds after starting the event:
    • Mr. Mordaut: Let's continue your exam. There are two types of question: In one question you must discover the logical object to come next in a pattern.
    • Mr. Mordaut: In the second type I will present you with fifteen cards and a hint. Discover three cards related to the hint, select them and confirm.

  • Mr. Mordaut asks one of the following questions:
  • Question 1:
    • Mr. Mordaut: Pick the object that should come next in the pattern.
    • Answering interface is displayed
    • When answered incorrectly:
      • If given less than 3 incorrect answers so far:
        • A random dialogue is selected from the following:
        • Dialogue 1:
          • Mr. Mordaut: No. No, that's not right at all. Okay, next question.
          • If it's the 1st incorrect answer:
            • Mr. Mordaut: Remember, the goal here is to find the pattern. Look for objects that would have a connection to each other.
          • Mr. Mordaut repeats the same question.
        • Dialogue 2:
          • Mr. Mordaut: That's WRONG. Take your time and think about the next question.
          • (Same as above)
        • Dialogue 3:
          • Mr. Mordaut: No, no, no... That's WRONG! Okay, next question.
          • (Same as above)
      • If it's the 3rd incorrect answer:
        • Mr. Mordaut: How unfortunate, you FAILED. You'd better hit the books and study up for next time.
        • Mr. Mordaut: To exit, use any of the doors in this room.
        • (End of dialogue)
    • When answered correctly:
      • If given less than 3 correct answers so far:
        • A random dialogue is selected from the following:
        • Dialogue 1:
          • Mr. Mordaut: Wonderful! Keep up the good work. Next question.
          • Mr. Mordaut asks a new question.
        • Dialogue 2:
          • Mr. Mordaut: Finally, a pupil using [his/her] brains rather than trying to eat them. Next question.
          • (Same as above)
        • Dialogue 3:
          • Mr. Mordaut: That's correct! Next question.
          • (Same as above)
      • If it's the 3rd correct answer:
        • If the player doesn't have a Book of knowledge:
          • Mr. Mordaut: WELL DONE! You've proven your aptitude for pattern recognition. You'll receive a book once you leave the classroom. It is a Book of Knowledge to further your education.
          • (Player receives a book of knowledge.)
          • Mr. Mordaut: To exit, use any of the doors in this room.
          • (End of dialogue)
        • If the player already has a Book of knowledge:
          • Mr. Mordaut: WELL DONE! You've proven your aptitude for pattern recognition.
          • Mr. Mordaut: Hmm, you already appear to have a Book of Knowledge. You should read that! Still, I will reward you for your work once you leave the room.
          • Mr. Mordaut: To exit, use any of the doors in this room.
          • (End of dialogue)
  • Question 2:
    • Mr. Mordaut: Examine the hint on the right and find three objects that are related to it.
    • Answering interface is displayed

After passing or failing the exam

  • Mr. Mordaut: To exit, use any of the doors in this room.
