(update)

The chess board setup has been made to represent an accurate starting position in Chess:

  • The king and queen of the white side of the board have been swapped
  • The chess board itself has been rotated a quarter turn.

Trivia

  • While in most chess sets, the king is the tallest piece on the board, in this chess set the pieces for the bishops are significantly taller.
  • Before an update, the white king and queen were positioned the wrong way around, and the chess board itself was positioned incorrectly (the "a1" square in the bottom left side was a white square, while it should have been a black square). After this update, the board now accurately represents a starting position in the game of Chess.
