Harder Mode III is a grandmaster combat achievement which requires the player to defeat Verzik Vitur in hard mode without using melee weapons during her third phase.

Strategy

The player has the option to choose between the staff of the dead (as it is considered a magic weapon), a twisted bow or Tumeken's shadow for this achievement.

Verzik has a Defence level of 150 along with +30 slash, +100 magic and +230 ranged defence bonuses. Verzik's magic defence rolls off her Defence level rather than Magic in a manner similar to the ice demon, which can make Tumeken's shadow more consistent and high-hitting. It is best to avoid brewing whenever possible however, as this will reduce its effectiveness.

As long as the player does not die against Verzik, the achievement will be gained.
