A gate can be found at the end of the bridge between the city of Menaphos and Sophanem. Attempting to open the gate will result in the player character saying "I'll not get through these gates; they're too heavily boarded up! ...And these walls don't look very climbable at all." Interacting with the game in any way afterwards will result in the Menaphite guards saying that they are not welcome there.
