The Assembly

Talking to Lady Lovakengj

  • Councillor Unkar: ...and he says that it's of the greatest urgency.
  • Lady Vulcana Lovakengj: Greatest urgency? I don't like urgency. This is quite simply not on.
  • Player: Hiya!
  • Lady Vulcana Lovakengj: Who is this human, Councillor Unkar? What are they doing here?
  • If the player doees not have the requirements to start the quest:
    • Councillor Unkar: I'm afraid I don't know.
    • Lady Vulcana Lovakengj: Oh. Could you make them go away?
    • Councillor Unkar: Sorry human. We're currently engaging in important official business. You'll need to come back another time.
    • (End of dialogue)
  • If the player has the requirements to start the quest:
    • Councillor Unkar: This is [player name]. They've been helping out in Lovakengj recently.
    • Lady Vulcana Lovakengj: Well I've never heard of them. What do they want?
    • Councillor Unkar: What do you want human?
    • Start The Forsaken Tower quest?
    • I'm looking for a quest.
      • Player: I'm looking for a quest.
      • Councillor Unkar: They're looking for a quest.
      • Lady Vulcana Lovakengj: A quest? Well we don't have any of those lying around.
      • Councillor Unkar: Well hang on. Maybe they could help us with this urgent matter.
      • Lady Vulcana Lovakengj: What urgent matter?
      • Councillor Unkar: The one we were just discussing. The one with the Doors of Dinh.
      • Lady Vulcana Lovakengj: Ah yes, the urgent matter with the Doors of Dinh. Very clever Councillor Unkar. You put the human to work. I need a sherry.
      • Lady Vulcana Lovakengj: Jorra! Bring me a sherry.
      • Jorra: Yes Lady Lovakengj.
      • Councillor Unkar: Human, we have a job for you.
      • Player: Great. What do you need?
      • Councillor Unkar: One of the finest smiths in Lovakengj, Undor, has been investigating issues with the Doors of Dinh. We've just received word that he has found the problem. However, he has requested we send assistance.
      • Councillor Unkar: Could you go to him and see what help he needs? You'll find him right outside the Doors of Dinh, north of Arceuus.
      • Who are you?
        • Councillor Unkar: I'm Councillor Unkar, one of the members of the Kourend Council. We are responsible for running the entire Kingdom of Great Kourend.
        • Player: What brings you to Lovakengj then?
        • Councillor Unkar: It's important for the Council to maintain a good relationship with the rulers of the five cities. Although it is the Council that rules, we can only do so with their support.
        • Councillor Unkar: I'm here to help Lady Lovakengj out and to make sure she has everything she needs to rule effectively.
        • (Shows other options)
      • What are the Doors of Dinh?
        • Player: What are the Doors of Dinh?
        • Councillor Unkar: They are a great set of doors built by a legendary smith, Dinh, in the early days of Kourend. They were created to imprison a deadly beast known as the Wintertodt.
        • Councillor Unkar: Unfortunately, although the Doors kept the beast contained for over a thousand years, they've recently started to fail. The master smith, Undor, was sent to investigate.

The Quest for the Hammer

Talking to Undor before talking to Ignisia

  • Player: Hello.
  • Undor: Well hello there [laddie/lassie].
  • Player: I've been sent to help you.
  • Undor: I just need to finish this little job. I'll be with you in a minute. While you're waiting, why not talk to that fiery lass? She'll fill you in on the situation here.
  • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Undor after talking to Ignisia

  • Undor: Hello there [laddie/lass].
  • Select an Option
  • (Non-quest dialogue) Tell me about the Wintertodt.
  • (Non-quest dialogue) Tell me about the Doors of Dinh.
  • (Non-quest dialogue) Tell me about yourself.
  • I've been sent to help you.
    • Player: I've been sent to help you.
    • Undor: Have you now [laddie/lassie]? I was wondering when they'd send someone.
    • Player: Well here I am. What do you need?
    • Undor: They all kept saying that the Doors were failing and I kept telling them that was rubbish. Did they listen? Of course they didn't.
    • Player: So the doors aren't failing?
    • Undor: Of course not! They were made by Dinh himself, the finest smith this world has ever seen. His work doesn't just fail!
    • Player: But if the Doors aren't failing, what's the issue?
    • Undor: Sabotage!
    • Player: Sabotage? That doesn't sound good.
    • Undor: You're right with that one [laddie/lassie]. Someone or something has made a small hole in the Doors.
    • Undor: It's not much, but it's enough for that Wintertodt to be able to draw some power into the prison. Probably why them fiery lot have had so much trouble recently.
    • Player: So what do we do?
    • Undor: Repair the damage of course [laddie/lassie]. Now I should be able to fix the issue no problem. The only thing I'm missing is the right tools. That's where you come in.
    • Player: What tools do you need?
    • Undor: I require a hammer!
    • Player: A hammer? Are you seriously telling me that you don't own a hammer?
    • Undor: What does it look like I'm holding you spoon?! I don't just need any hammer. I need the legendary hammer used by Dinh himself! It's the only tool capable of working this metal.
    • Player: Ahh, I see. So where do I find this hammer?
    • Undor: Back in his prime, Dinh built a great tower. It was known as Dinh's Redoubt and it's where he created all of his finest inventions.
    • Undor: After Dinh died, some poncey mage thought they'd go and defile his tower. The place has been off limits ever since.
    • Undor: Now I don't know for sure, but I reckon that Dinh's Hammer might still be there.
    • Player: Well there's only one way to find out. Where do I find this tower?
    • Undor: The Forsaken Tower, as it's now known, can be found west of Lovakengj.

  • (Non-quest dialogue) Goodbye.

      • Player: Does this mean the Wintertodt won't be a threat anymore?
      • Undor: That should be the case in the long run. I suspect it will take a long time though. The Doors were damaged for a while and the Wintertodt will have gained a lot of power.
      • Undor: I reckon that magic lot will have to do their fiery tricks for a bit longer before everything is back to normal.

Returning to Lady Lovakengj

  • Lady Vulcana Lovakengj: The human seems a bit lost Councillor. Could you help them please.
  • Player: But I've done what you asked!
  • Lady Vulcana Lovakengj: Oh. What did I ask?
