The Doors of Dinh are a set of large doors created by Dinh, a Lovakengj smith of unparalleled skill, to imprison the Wintertodt 1,000 years ago.

The doors bear the crest of Arceuus. Players must have level 50 in Firemaking to open the doors.

The doors have a right-click Peek option, which allows players to see how much energy the Wintertodt has remaining, and the number of players inside the prison.

The Forsaken Tower

In The Forsaken Tower quest, it is revealed the doors have been sabotaged, creating a small hole in the doors.[1] Although not much, it is enough for the Wintertodt imprisoned within to draw a small amount of power into the prison, creating trouble for the pyromancers inside the prison.[2] Undor can easily fix the damage done, but he needs Dinh's hammer in order to repair the doors, which he believes is located in the Forsaken Tower. Although the player manages to get Dinh's hammer for Undor to fix the damage done, by that time the Wintertodt has gained a lot of power and would take a longer time to be permanently subdued.[3]

Trivia

  • When you examine the Doors of Dinh, it will say "Hold the door!". This is a reference to S06E05 "The Door" from the HBO show Game of Thrones.
  • The name "Doors of Dinh" may be a reference to the Doors of Durin from the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

I suspect it will take a long time though. The Doors were damaged for a while and the Wintertodt will have gained a lot of power. I reckon that magic lot will have to do their fiery tricks for a bit longer before everything is back to normal."
