The 2020 Birthday event was the seventh annual birthday event held in Old School RuneScape, celebrating the release of the game on the 22nd of February 2013. The event involved helping to cheer Juliet up after the events of Romeo & Juliet.

Walkthrough

To start the event speak to Juliet in her room upstairs in the big mansion in west Varrock, south-east of the Cooks' Guild. Juliet has been chosen to arrange and host the celebrations of the seventh annual birthday event, which she obliged to do to forget about Romeo. However Juliet has since lost the will to do it, since the sadness over her breakup with Romeo has resurfaced. She thinks that if she was cheered up, she might be able to proceed with the planning.

Asking her cousin Phillipa how to cheer Juliet up, Phillipa suggests that the player dresses up in a cat costume and dances for Juliet. The player reluctantly agrees, but insists on only doing cat ears. Phillipa suggests that the player talk to Iffie to make the cat ears, as she has lots of experience making costumes.

Iffie is located in Thessalia's Fine Clothes in central Varrock. She'll agree to help, if the player can provide her with cat hair to make the ears as realistic as possible. She suggests the player talks to Gertrude living just west of Varrock as she knows her to have many cats and therefore lots of cat hair.

The player has multiple options to acquire loose cat hair. They can either get it by using the comb found on a table in Gertrude's house on either Gertrude or their own pet cat (it will not work on kittens). Alternatively loose cat hair can be found by searching the broken fence by the Lumber Yard, north-east of Varrock. Once the player has obtained the cat hair, they can return to Iffie, who will then make the cat ears and give them to the player.

The player must then return to Juliet and equip the cat ears. The player must then set up a little (and embarrassing) performance for Juliet by performing various joyful emotes such as dance, jig and spin until Juliet is happy. (Note: The player must not repeat the same emote twice in a row.) When Juliet is happy enough, she'll thank the player and tell them, that she has cheered up and she feels ready to host the party. She'll then reward the player and tell them to go downstairs, where the festivities have begun.
Congratulations! Event complete!

Downstairs the player can help themselves to slices of birthday cake and talk with the party attendants: King Roald, Queen Ellamaria, Draul Leptoc, Hans, Wise Old Man and a gnome child.
