Limpwurt is a Farming plant grown at level 26 Farming. Limpwurt is grown by planting a limpwurt seed in a flower patch using a seed dibber. They take 20 minutes to grow, and when fully grown, they can be harvested for limpwurt roots. The yield is random but scales with Farming level, and can produce between three and 13 limpwurt roots per harvest.
There is a guarantee that the player will harvest at least three roots, with one additional chance to receive an extra limpwurt root upon harvesting granted for every ten Farming levels the player has. This results in a normal maximum harvest of 12 roots at levels 91 through 100 (boosted); temporary skill boost can be used to reach levels 101-104 which can produce a yield of up to 13 roots.[1] Yield is not increased when treating with compost. Yield is increased when having or wielding Magic secateurs or having an attas plant growing in the anima patch.[2]
As with all flower-patch crops, nearby gardeners will not watch over limpwurt roots.
A woody vine with a large pink flower. Grown for its large tuberous root system, limpwurt is a useful ingredient in potions. Although not popularly consumed, it has an earthy pungent aroma and a very bitter flavour. It is most definitely an acquired taste. One group that appears to have acquired this taste are hobgoblins for they are often seen chewing on limpwurt roots.
