Portals are found in the Rune essence mine and can be used to exit the area. Travelling through the portal will teleport the player back to the NPC that was used to enter the mine: one of Aubury, Wizard Sedridor, Wizard Distentor, Wizard Cromperty, or Brimstail.

There are seven variants of the portal, with varying colours and interaction options. Upon teleporting to the mine, a random variant is selected and the four portals in the mine will be replaced with that variant. The small variations are likely intended to counteract bots that rely on specific colours or option text.

Trivia

  • Two of the variants are actually NPCs, with the name recoloured to appear the same as objects. The seventh variant has a colour override with a subtly different shade of cyan (#00efef) than usual scenery, which is the only entity in the game that is not one of the standard colours (#00ffff for scenery, #ff9040 for items, and #ffff00 for NPCs).
