Shrine was an unobtainable item that previously could be found in the game cache. It was created to replace the noted form of Iodine. Since items could not be fully removed once created, it was added in a hidden update in 2005 to fill this slot.

The name and examine were designed to be inconspicuous, but the actual item was just a copy of a pink skirt. Originally, players had the option to "Activate" it. If players attempted to view the Shrine in game by using cheating software, they would be given a Hex edit detected instead.

In RuneScape, the item later became viewable via Quick Chat, causing much confusion.

It was deleted from the game cache in 2006, being replaced by the Hardy gout tuber from My Arm's Big Adventure.
