Dogs can be assigned as a Slayer task from Turael, Spria and Mazchna at level 15 combat. A wide variety of dogs can be found across Gielinor. Most dogs, except those in Brimhaven Dungeon, are aggressive and they all attack with melee. Dogs have no noteworthy drops beside bones and ensouled dog heads.

Wild dog	63	62	Brimhaven Dungeon	Brimhaven Dungeon requires an axe and 875 coins to access Brimhaven Dungeon (unless player has paid for unlimited access from Saniboch or Banisoch). Found in places with other powerful creatures nearby, including bronze dragons.
Shadow hound	63	62	Eastern part of Shadow Dungeon	Requires Ring of visibility and partial completion of Desert Treasure I to access. Other creatures are able to walk through them.
Reanimated dog	N/A	35	Dark Altar	Requires ensouled dog head, 1Soul rune, 3Nature rune, and 4Body rune and level 41 Magic to cast Adept Reanimation, the spell must be cast at the Dark Altar, unless it is cast, when the ensouled head is received as a drop.

• Hellhounds of any variety do not count towards the task. This includes Skeleton Hellhound (Vet'ion).
• Terror dogs also do not count towards the task.
