The broken zombie axe is the broken version of the zombie axe, and is dropped by armoured zombies found within Zemouregal's Base. Players with 70 Smithing can repair the axe at an anvil with a hammer in the inventory; boosts can be used. Repairing the axe awards the player 500 Smithing XP.
Inspecting the axe with 70 or higher Smithing reads: "The axe isn't in a great state, but it should be possible to repair it. You reckon you have the skills needed to do so yourself. You'll just need a hammer and an anvil."
If Smithing is below 70 it instead reads: "The axe isn't in a great state, but it should be possible to repair it. However, you unfortunately don't feel you have the skills needed to do so yourself. To repair the axe, you'll need 70 Smithing"
