The Pirate Captain is a deceased pirate found on the shipwreck north-west of Port Phasmatys. Despite having died a long time ago, his cabin boy acts as though he's still alive and is just waiting for an ideal time to sail, often asking him for orders and interpreting them as he sees fit. He led his pirates on a raid of Port Phasmatys at some point, stealing the book of haricanto and locking it in a chest.[1] His cabin boy later handed over the key to the chest.
He has a Talk-to option which causes the player to state "The Pirate Captain ignores you and continues to stare lifelessly at nothing, as he has clearly been dead for some time.".
Trivia
- He appears to be wearing the same outfit as Cap'n Hand.
- Despite being dead and unable to move around or actually speak to players, he nevertheless has unused models for his head, body and legs for use as an NPC, including an unused chathead model.
References
- ^ Velorina in Ghosts Ahoy. Old School RuneScape. "[The book of haricanto] was stolen when our port was raided by pirates many years ago, and never seen since."
