The apple barrel is a quest item in the Mourning's End Part I quest. It is the result of using a barrel of rotten apples on the Apple Press found in the orchard near the Tree Gnome Stronghold's main gate.

It is to be mixed with a barrel of naphtha to obtain a naphtha apple mix.
