Advanced data | ||||
Type | dungeon | |||
The Mourner Tunnels are located outside the basement of the Mourner Headquarters in the north-eastern part of West Ardougne. During Mourning's End Part II, the Head Mourner gives the player the new key, which can be used to enter the tunnels from the basement. Note that if the player is not wearing full mourner gear, the mourners in the basement will be aggressive.
After the completion of Mourning's End Part II, the slayer ring can be used to teleport directly into the tunnels, skipping the need to wear mourner gear or have the new key. After the completion of Song of the Elves, the mourners in the basement leave, and neither the key nor the mourner gear are required to use the basement door.
Points of interest
Dark beasts
There are 19 dark beasts in the north-east and western parts of the first half of the tunnels. They are aggressive, attack quickly, and can deal a lot of damage.
Runite
The Mourner Tunnels mine contains one of the twenty-nine runite rocks available in the game.
The Temple of Light
To the west of the tunnels is the entrance to the Temple of Light. During Mourning's End Part II, the Head Mourner gives the player a new key in order to access the Mourner Tunnels allowing access to the Temple of Light, and the Death Altar inside.
Before the entrance to the temple is a dead mourner who can be searched for Edern's journal, detailing the life of a mourner called Nissyen Edern.
