The banana hat is a cosmetic hat that looks like a banana. It is obtained by speaking to Diango; if lost, it can be reclaimed from him. The hat is the winning entry from the Design A Hat competition.

If destroyed, a replacement can be obtained from Diango in Draynor Village or from the toy box of a costume room.

Competition

The competition to design a cosmetic item for the game, "Design A Hat", was first announced in an update on 3 March 2021. The rules for the competition was that the item was to be worn in the head slot and that it must use the colours of a banana in the design.

The deadline for submissions was on 22 March, and the four finalists were announced on 31 March, with a poll launched to decide the winning design.

The winner of the competition, Atlantis_OSRS, was rewarded the prize of 12 months membership and a real-life King Black Dragon brick-building set.
