A smouldering gland is an item commonly dropped by tormented demons. It is dropped on the same loot table as the smouldering pile of flesh and the smouldering heart, and acts as a one-use consumable item; unlike most items, which have a "Take" option on the ground, the item has a "Crush" option, and cannot be telegrabbed.

Crushing it releases a blessing from the gland, regenerating prayer points over time in large increments (10-15 prayer points), lasting around 49 seconds. Teleporting away ends the regeneration effect.

Upon crushing the gland, a game message in the chatbox will state You crush the gland, releasing its unholy blessing. Players have ten minutes to crush the gland before it disappears from the ground; this timer is paused upon logging out.
