Walkthrough
- Talk to the Cook in Lumbridge Castle's kitchen.
- Pick up a pot from next to the Cook.
- Buy a compost from Fayeth at the farming patch west of the castle. Empty the compost to receive a bucket.
- Run north to Fred the Farmer and grab the Egg that spawns in front of his house.
- Head north to the Mill Lane Mill next to the cow pens and pick some grain from outside. Climb up to the top floor of the mill and use the grain with the hopper, then pull the lever. Climb down and take the flour from the flour bin with an empty pot.
- Run north into the cow pen and milk the dairy cow.
- Begin casting Lumbridge Home Teleport as soon as the milk appears in your inventory, and run to the cook.
- Talk to the Cook.

Optimizations
General
Pathing manually to climb the east side of the mill's ladder on the way up and down will save 2 ticks.
Starting the quest with the Cook in a good spot where you can instantly grab the pot can save 1 tick.
After the first line of dialogue with the Cook, you can use your egg on him while holding space to give him two items during the same tick, saving 1 tick.
A combination of luck for where you spawn after home teleporting and where the cook is standing can save 2 ticks.
Alts
Chickens
When poisoned, instead of getting poisoned, some monsters will start their internal timer. For chickens, this timer makes them lay an egg every so often. Getting an alt to poison 2 chickens before your run and positioning them on the path can save a few seconds.
To set up a poison alt, load A Kingdom Divided and go into the catacombs. Run south to the Ankous and afk them until you get a weapon poison drop. Lower your stats at the nearby abberant spectres so you do not kill the chickens. Get a dagger at the warrior's guild and poison it.
(Not recommended) A dragon spear is not easily obtainable, but can be used to lure a chicken onto the bridge across the river lum, allowing you to milk the closer cow in the east pen, in combination with a pot of flour drop.
Imps
Monsters damaged by you will still be damaged after restarting a speedrun. Ironman rules still apply, so another player cannot deal damage to it. This means you can damage an imp down to 1 hp before the run starts, position it near Fayeth, start the run, then punch the imp to death when the run starts for a low chance at a pot of flour, egg, or bucket.
An alt can splash on the imp to hold it in place better. A splashing alt can be set up easily by loading the Dragon Slayer II preset and getting vambraces at the Champions' Guild.
After you press to start the quest speedrun, but before the timer starts, if an imp dies its loot will not disappear when the run starts. With good timing and precise imp positioning, you can cast a spell, then start the dialogue with the Cook. If you're fast enough, the imp will die after you press 1. Then you can wait around and make sure a chicken laid an egg before starting the run if you got a pot of flour drop.
