Dodging the Dragon is a master combat achievement which requires the player to kill Vorkath 5 times without taking any damage from his special attacks and without leaving his area.

Strategy

The player must avoid Vorkath's special attacks for 5 kills in a row; taking damage from his special attacks and hitting 0 on the Zombified Spawn will reset the streak and fail the task.

It is recommended to count Vorkath's attacks so the player is prepared to react accordingly; every 7th attack will be a special attack.

Acid Pool Attack:

Once the 7th attack happens, start walking so you dodge the acid on the floor.

Almost always, if you don't move at least 1 tile you will be standing in acid and therefore automatically failing this task. After you find your suitable location you can change to woox walking if you're capable, or just continue walking the fireballs until the special attack has ended.

If choosing not to attack Vorkath during this phase, a simple strategy is to remain 4 tiles North of the entrance during the initial 6 attacks, evading the 7th acid pool attack by immediately moving to a tile adjacent to the entrance. Continue moving back and forth along the few tiles adjacent to the entrance to avoid Vorkath rapid fireballs. The key to this strategy is the short line of tiles adjacent to the entrance which will never be covered by acid pools, if done correctly, allowing you to consistently avoid them.

The tiles adjacent to the entrance can be covered in acid if the player was standing on those tiles when the 7th attack happens, so be sure to move onto the tiles during the 7th attack and not start on them.

Zombified Ice Dragonfire Attack:

Ensure you don't eat as the Ice Dragonfire attack is cast as you may incur an eat delay on your attack, causing you to not have ample time to defeat the Undead Spawn.

Equip your staff of choice (Slayer staff, slayer's staff (e), staff of the dead, toxic staff of the dead, staff of light, staff of balance or void knight mace) that has autocast Crumble Undead on. Hit the Undead Spawn and be sure to not tank its hit. If it's a zero you will still fail this task.

Gear:

Use your best gear, and bring some additional saradomin brew and super restore to offset the lowering stats of the Saradomin brew.
