How to set up Gear Tabs using Bank Tag Layouts
- Go to the Plugin hub in Runelite, and search up the plugin
- Download the plugin, enable it, and copy the settings shown in the picture
Once the plugin is downloaded..
- Copy the bank tags you're looking to save
- Right click on the + in the top left of your bank
- Choose "Import tag tab with layout"
Congrats! You should now have the tag tab set up properly.
Strategy
Venenatis attacks with melee towards any player that's adjacent to her, and either magic or ranged for any player out of her melee range. Protection prayers will fully block the attacks, however, they will have their effectiveness reduced for every spiderling alive in the chamber.
Every four attacks, Venenatis will shuffle to another position in her lair. Every two movements will cause her to alternate between ranged and magic attacks.
When a kill starts, Venenatis begins by summoning two spiderlings, who also increase her max hit along with reducing prayer effectiveness. The spiderlings will drain prayer by 1 for every hit made regardless if it damages or not, however they only have 5 health and players will deal their max hit on them regardless of gear. Venenatis can also launch a sticky web that if stood on, damages and drains prayer by 3 and run energy by 10 every few ticks. Venenatis will always alternate between the spiderlings and the sticky web after moving around twice.
- Venenatis is weak to crush and will only use melee against you as long as you're in melee distance.
- Thralls + Death Charge are by far the most useful spells to take.
- At the start of the kill, Venenatis will move twice and then shoot the web special on the third attack. You should position yourself to place the web as close to the edge of the arena as possible without leaving melee distance of the boss. Run 4 tiles as it shoots the web to avoid it. Placing the web towards the edge of the arena lowers the chances of you getting dragged back into it when Venenatis moves around.
- After this first web despawns (20-30secs in a solo) Venenatis will move 1-2 more times before using the web special again. This ends up being about 50secs between web specials in a solo.
- Don't worry about killing the spiderlings unless you're in the first phase, in which case a couple of people should carry bulwarks (with lightbearer and death charge) and use specs to clear the spiderlings when they spawn in
- In 3 mans, rotating bulwark + lightbearer for spiderlings, and in 4 man, one can bring a DPS spec
