Klaus was a love interest in the 2023 Pride event, found just outside the Varrock east bank. During the event, Quinton wrote him a poet to invite him to the pride march. However, he rejected Quinton's invitation due to not liking his poem.

• The line of dialogue "He was a dude, I was a guy, can I make it any more obvious?" is a variation on a lyric from the song Sk8er Boi by the Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne.
