A teleport focus can be built in the Centrepiece space of the Portal Chamber in a player-owned house. It requires 50 Construction to build and when built, it gives 40 experience.
It is the first centrepiece able to be built in the Portal Chamber, the second being the Greater focus, and the third being the Scrying pool. A teleport focus is required to build portals. Once the player has constructed the portals and directed them to a location, players can remove the teleport focus if they wish to do so. Note, however, that the player will need to build one again if they want to change the location a portal teleports to.
While creating teleports, location 1 is the portal to the left of the door when walking into the portal chamber. Location 2 is directly opposite of the door. Location 3 is the portal to the right of the door when walking into the portal chamber.
