The Bane of Demons is an elite combat achievement which requires the player to defeat K'ril Tsutsaroth in a private instance using only demonbane spells.

Strategy

Recoil damage (i.e. ring of recoil, echo boots, or Vengeance) will disqualify players from completing this achievement. Additionally, ironmen instances do not work; players must use private instances for this achievement.

While demonbane spells are effective against most demons, K'ril's magic defences still makes them fairly inaccurate, mandating players to also cast Mark of Darkness to increase their accuracy and damage further. A purging staff will further double their bonuses, though the staff of the dead or toxic staff of the dead are viable alternatives as they too can autocast demonbane spells, and have a special attack that reduces all melee damage by 50% for one minute. Lastly, a slayer helmet (i) may be worn while on a greater demon slayer task to further increase accuracy.

Players can also cast Ward of Arceuus to reduce damage taken by 10%.
