The Witch's cat is used in the Underground Pass quest. It must be recovered from the maze of walkways deep inside the dungeon west of West Ardougne and then used as a distraction to allow the player to enter Kardia the witch's house and search a chest to find the Doll of iban.

Before it was possible to take the cat out of the area by grabbing another one and keeping it with you via banking. Dropping it though, it will always run away, essentially disappearing.

The cat can be spoken to if a catspeak amulet is equipped.

Trivia

• The examine text "Curiosity has yet to kill this one..." refers to the idiom "Curiosity kills the cat."
• If players attempt to pick up the Witch's cat while carrying their own cat in their inventory, they receive the following message: "It's not very nice to stuff a cat into a satchel...Two is just plain cruel!"
• This cat cannot be traded for death runes unlike other adult cats. Attempting to use the Witch's cat on a West Ardougne civilian will result in them refusing, saying it is too old and has never seen the light of day and thus would not be good for catching mice.
