Harold is an off-duty Burthorpe Imperial Guard featured in the Death Plateau quest.

During the quest, players must converse with him, buy him drinks, and gamble with him until he is broke, forcing him to write an IOU letter with the only available piece of paper he had on his persons, which happens to have the combination on the back.

He is located in the far western room on the 1st floor[UK]2nd floor[US] of The Toad and Chicken. His brother is found injured beneath Death Plateau.[1]

Trivia

  • In the original version of Death Plateau featured in the RuneScape 2 beta files, Harold was known as Guard with the examine "A tough looking guard." Players had the option to talk to him or play dice.
  • According to the fifth Postbag from the Hedge, his brother and he are referred as the Brothers Dimm.[1]
