Scorpions can be assigned as a slayer task at level 7 combat by various low end Slayer masters and are generally meant as tasks for beginners. Scorpions attack with melee and a few certain varieties are capable of poisoning. Interestingly various fightable lobsters also counts as scorpions. Scorpions have very limited drop tables, usually only dropping ensouled scorpion heads and beginner clue scrolls.

Players can also kill Scorpia as part of a scorpion task; however, she is located in extremely deep (50+) Wilderness in a multicombat area, and freezes are required in order to kill the boss efficiently. It is a very popular player killing spot, so players should not bring items they are unwilling to lose.
