An unfinished batta was previously obtained during Gnome cooking when making a Worm batta. It could be made by adding a Spicy worm and some cheese to a Half baked batta, then baking it. Finally, Equa leaves were added to make a Worm batta. If a mistake was made at any point, an Odd batta would be received instead.

As this process was unnecessarily intricate, it was altered with the Gnome Restaurant rework in 2006. Now, all ingredients are automatically added to create a Half made batta, which can then be cooked to produce the new Unfinished batta. Once again, equa leaves are used to convert this into a Worm batta.

Because the item was removed before 2007, it has never been present in Old School RuneScape. However, it remains in the game files.
