Spicy toad's legs was previously obtained during Gnome cooking when making a Toad batta. It could be made by adding Gnome spice to Toad's legs. Equa leaves was then added to these in order to create Seasoned legs, an ingredient in the Toad batta.

As this process was unnecessarily intricate, it was altered with the Gnome Restaurant rework in 2006. Now, the toad's legs, equa leaves and gnome spice are all automatically added at once to create a Half made crunchy. If the player attempts to add Gnome spice to toad's legs, nothing happens.

Because the item was removed before 2007, it has never been present in Old School RuneScape. However, it remains in the game files.
