Torture racks or simply Racks are scenery found throughout Gielinor. They do not serve any in-game purpose, although they are presumably meant to be used by NPCs for torture.

The rack found in the Troll Stronghold can be used to hide a drunk parrot during the events of Eadgar's Ruse.

Trivia

• Racks strongly resemble the real-life torture device also called a rack, which used a ratcheting system to stretch victims beyond normal human limits, causing excruciating pain and often permanent injuries.
• The examine text Makes you taller. is a reference to the common belief that real-life torture racks would cause their victims to stretch taller.
  • There is no evidence that torture racks made their victims measurably taller, nor that they were ever used to attempt such a thing.
