The Newspaper is an unobtainable item added with the graphical update of Varrock. It is identical to the Newspaper that can be bought from Benny in Varrock square. Internally, it is referred to as "Newspaper 1" as opposed to the obtainable "Newspaper 2". Presumably, it would have played some role in Shield of Arrav.
