The Summer Summit 2021 was a livestream event on 31 July 2021 where Jagex announced several potential upcoming updates.
- Deadman: Reborn was announced as a temporary PvP game mode starting 25 August 2021.
- Group Ironman Mode was announced as a potential variant of Ironman Mode, where 2 to 5 players can group up together with all normal Ironman or Hardcore Ironman restrictions.
- The Shattered Relics League was announced as the third seasonal League.
- The Tombs of Amascut was announced as potentially being the third Raid.
- Beneath Cursed Sands was announced as potentially being the fourth quest in the Desert quest series.
All of these except Deadman: Reborn and the Shattered Relics League were polled, with Group Ironman passing in late September of 2021 and the Tombs of Amascut & Beneath Cursed Sands passing in January 2022.
