The Trollheim Portal was an unused piece of furniture intended to be built in the portal chamber of a player-owned house. It would have teleported players to Trollheim.
Players would have first built a portal frame, then used the centrepiece to direct the portal. Presumably, this would have required 61 Magic, and cost 200 Fire runes and 200 Law runes.
The portal was possibly removed since it would cause problems for players forcibly teleported via a Greater magic cage. As the Lumbridge Home Teleport spell did not exist at the time, any players teleported to Trollheim who did not have strong enough stats or equipment to evade the Thrower trolls would be stranded unless rescued by another player.
However, it is unconfirmed whether the portal was ever actually added to the game or instead removed before Construction was released. Some players stated that it was briefly available for several hours.[1][2] In any case, it had been removed by 31 May and replaced with the Kharyrll Portal.
