The pheasant is a variant of the beaver pet that can be permanently unlocked by using the golden pheasant egg, a rare reward from the pheasant control Forestry event, on the beaver. Once unlocked, the pheasant can be freely transformed between the beaver and pheasant versions, as well as the fox if that variant has been unlocked as well.

On death, if a player loses their pet (as a follower or in your inventory) it will wander around for 30 seconds before disappearing completely. It can then be reclaimed from Probita in East Ardougne for a reclaim token, which costs 1,000,000 coins.
