Aviansie can be assigned as a slayer task provided that players have access to the God Wars Dungeon (requiring completion of Death Plateau) and has unlocked Watch the birdie slayer perk for 80 Slayer reward points.

Aviansie can be found in the normal and Wilderness God Wars Dungeon; as followers of Armadyl, Armadylean God-aligned items are required to make them tolerant. Aviansie have an increased sense of danger and will attack players if they are attacked, even if they're in combat with another monster. Their flying height means that they can only be harmed with ranged and magic, although salamanders are an exception as a direct target.

Aviansie have a somewhat generous drop table that mostly revolves around adamantite bars, runite limbs, ensouled aviansie heads and poisoned rune daggers, the limbs and daggers having reasonable high alchemy price. In order to get noted bars from the aviansie in the main dungeon, the player has to complete the hard set of the Fremennik Diaries; those in the Wilderness always drop it noted, however players risk being killed by other players there.

Kree'arra and his bodyguards can be killed as alternatives for an aviansie task, but not the Armadylean-aligned spiritual warriors, rangers and mages. Due to the general lack of popularity with aviansie, they are usually toggled off unless killing Kree'arra.

While an emergency teleport is required as usual at Kree'arra, players can bank at Nex; get the Zarosian kills prior to starting the trip to start off with an optimal inventory, and use an ecumenical key to avoid wasting time on kill count. Accessing Kree'arra will require two additional inventory slots to cover a crossbow that can fire a mith grapple. Banking at the prison will require a Zarosian item to avoid getting killed, and it is recommended to gather the necessary Zarosian killcount to avoid having to kill them while returning from a trip. With max mage gear, an Eldritch nightmare staff and optional lightbearer, the player can complete entire tasks at Kree'arra without having to bank, limited to the charges and runes in their possession.
