Distant Land is a music track that is unlocked at Burgh de Rott and south of Barrows. The track is later heard at the start of Temple Trekking.

Analysis

It is very melancholic at times, using deep choir and strings to convey a sense of sadness. The song alternates between slower and faster parts.

• This track is a reference to the instrumental track "Laura Palmer's Theme" from the soundtrack of the Twin Peaks television show. The tracks start with identical chords and melodies, while the rest is extremely similar. Both tracks relate to the themes of mystery and desolation that surround both the plot of the series and Burgh de Rott's history.
