Burgh de Rott is a desolate town located in the south-western coast of Morytania. It is a focal point of the In Aid of the Myreque quest and can only be accessed after you start the quest. Places of interest include the bank, the furnace, the general store, fishing spots, and the bar. Completion of Priest in Peril is required to access Morytania, and therefore Burgh de Rott.

Getting there

History

Little is known about Burgh de Rott's history, but it can presumably be dated back to the time around Hallowvale in the early Third Age, as Queen Efaritay, the Queen of Hallowland's name, can still be found. Whether it was abandoned or destroyed during Lowerniel Drakan and his vampyres' invasion is unknown.

In recent times the town has become a place for human refugees, who have escaped from the vampyres' tyranny. The town is in ruins and the vampyres assume it is uninhabited and thus never go there. During In Aid of the Myreque, the player helps fix up some of the essential parts of the town, improving the living conditions for the residents. The fact that the town is populated was discovered by Gadderanks, who, accompanied by two Vampyre Juvinates, came to tithe the population. The player, however, managed to defeat Gadderanks and the vampyres, meaning that Burgh de Rott is safe for now.

Shops

General store

To access the general store you must repair it first using 6 planks and 24 nails. After repairing it players must stock it with 10 bronze axes, 3 tinderboxes and either 10 mackerel or 10 snails.

Skills

Fishing

All the fishing spots in Burgh de Rott necessitate the use of either a big net or harpoon, making this town nearly as convenient as Catherby for training Fishing. There also is a small fishing net spawn location in a ruined house east of the docks.

Smithing

This town has the fifth-closest furnace to a bank, behind Port Phasmatys, Shilo Village, Edgeville and Neitiznot.
